雅思口語考試中必不可少的就是人物題，關(guān)于人物題的考法也不斷變化，從“describe a polite person/ a person who has an important job/a friend you meet for the first time”, 到近期的 “an interesting old person/a famous person/a person you’d like to spend time with”. 雖然考題變化多端，但始終不變的是”who the person is”,即對于人物的描述。掌握了人物的描述方法，再加上對于每個題目的相關(guān)內(nèi)容的描述，考生們即可順利完成第二部分的回答。那么關(guān)于人物我們應(yīng)該從哪些方面描述呢? 　　1.外貌的描述 ( physical appearance) 　　首先我們可以從大體上來描述一個人的外貌，比如年齡 young/old, 身高 average/medium height, 著裝 casually dressed/formally dressed, 頭發(fā) blonde/short hair/slightly wavy, 臉型 round/ heart-shaped/square/oval等，除此之外還可以加一些關(guān)于面部表情的描述，如 cheerful eyes/ a beautiful (happy) smile/ a pleasant expression. 了解了不少對于外貌的描述，我們來練習(xí)一些關(guān)于的描述 “He has short, black hair, sparkling brown eyes and a broad, friendly smile. He is wearing a dark suit and tie”. 　　2．關(guān)于人物性格的描述 (personality) 　　很多同學(xué)都在回答的時(shí)候用到了 “熱心的，善良的”， 即 kind-hearted, warm-hearted;還有同學(xué)會說到 “內(nèi)向的，外向的”— introverted, extroverted; 聰明的 intelligent; 努力工作的 hard-working/ industrious; 喜歡社交的 sociable; 可依靠的 “reliable, someone you can depend upon”; 有能力的“competent”;有抱負(fù)的 ambitious; 有……感的，has a sense of …….。 當(dāng)然在表達(dá)的時(shí)候有同學(xué)還會用到一些貶義形容詞，比如說 討厭的 boring; 喜歡控制人的 bossy; 焦慮的 anxious;脾氣不好的bad-tempered.

　　3. 人物對于你的影響或和你的關(guān)系 　　一般我們在考到名人或老人的時(shí)候更多的使用的是他們對我們的影響是什么。 　　比如老人，我們即可從很多角度作答, 例如： 　　1)社會經(jīng)驗(yàn)，知識積累 they got more life experience/ they are knowledgeable/ they went through a lot to become an accomplished…. 　　2) 心態(tài) they are understanding/supportive/positive/optimistic/always look on the bright side of life. 　　在談到朋友時(shí)，1) 關(guān)系 we have a lot in common, we often hang out together/we were like peas and carrots/ we grow apart gradually. 　　2)朋友對你的影響 he is a reliable person, I can really count on him/ optimistic, when I am upset, he is always there to cheer me up/ a determined person, when he get into something, he gives one hundred percent. 　　4. 結(jié)合具體題目 　　了解了關(guān)于人物的描述方法，我們還要結(jié)合具體的題目來回答每一個題目，例如在描述 “describe a person who has an important job”時(shí)，除了對于人物的描述外還需要重點(diǎn)描述 “why the job is important”.例如考到“describe a polite person”的時(shí)候，要結(jié)合一個關(guān)于禮貌的說法， “offer his seat(讓座)，make eye contact, carry on telephone conversations in a low voice in public”. 　　考到 “a famous person” 時(shí),更要結(jié)合具體的實(shí)例來，如說到姚明時(shí)，我們可以列舉一些他所做的慈善工作 “he did a lot of charity work. For example, he works with Johnson to help educate Chinese citizens about HIV prevention and support, care people with HIV. ”
